So Zack Greinke went to the Houston Astros a few days ago... looks like I’m an Astro fan now.

 

Yeah, why anyone would want Puig is beyond me? Granted, when Cleveland gets Kluber, Carrasco, AND Salazar back off DL maybe they think they don't need Bauer anymore? I still think Indians catch the Twins but my Royals just got beat 11-9 and 11-3. Twins hit 9 HRs in 2 games. Some were mistakes but outside corner at the knees and Cruz hits it in the opposite field upper deck. Another middle-in breaking ball 6" off the ground gets golfed WAY out to left center. That's just pretty damn good hitting . . .

Royals have improved. We can beat lower half teams now and even a couple of upper half NL teams. Legitimate chance to pass White Sox and grab 3rd.

And, Maldonado has gone full circle. Played well for KC, went to the Cubs briefly and now back to Houston along with Greinke. Looks like Houston is stocking up for the home stretch. There are like 7 teams in the AL that are all REALLY good.

 

It's nice to have my squad included in this conversation for once.

Were holding on to the 2nd spot in the wild card and the Yankees arent that far ahead realistically seeing we have at least one more series against them.

The only other team I'm really concerned about is the A's... of course if we go on a really strong run down the stretch we can probably overtake Cleveland and maybe... Just maybe... The Yankees.

Someone mentioned Puig ... he was an awesome rookie and some really good seasons in LA. Now he goes full Prong. Personally still think the guy can help a club reach the postseason.
