I have a question for ya, during your Harness install on the driver side, did ya find any male connectors that don’t match up with a connector on the door?
Looks like you have a Off Road/ i have a SR5 I don’t know if there’s a difference. I found one that match. Thanks for any help. Nice job on folding mirror mod.

I did not find any unaccounted for connectors in the door. But this may help you out.
I laid out the PNP harness on my table and started labeling every connector left to right A, B, etc. Then I went to the door panel and labeled the vehicle connectors in the same manner but with a different color. A/B being the door lock, C is the control module. See pictures. From your picture, it looks like what I labeled D and E. It mates to a plug in the front of the door above the speaker.

Reminder post I need to order these! Just need to check the meso puddle lights to see if I want I add those while I’m there. I have the Lexus key card so I’m not sure how useful those will be.

Just came back from my business trip, and came home to them.

I am waiting for Meso's puddle lights to come back in stock for I can do everything one time.

Looking at the mirrors, they seem to be aftermarket?
I heard that Meso's puddle lights would not fit into the space.

Yup, they’re after market. The Meso puddles don’t fit. I’m going to swap hinges with my OEM mirrors so that I can use the Meso puddles.

Wonder if the hinges are easily swappable.

I think it should be moderately simple. Separating the mirror from the hinge was easy. I removed the hinges from the aftermarket mirrors the other day in roughly 15mins just taking my time. I’m sure it’ll be just as simple to remove the hinge on the oem mirrors. I think the hardest part will be drilling the 3 matching holes on the oem hinge to mount the mirrors. Well, I’m hoping to find some time to work on the mirrors later today, so I guess I’ll find out how easy or hard the swap is soon enough. I’ll report back with any issues.

Well it’s a no go. When I asked Katie the other week she said I could just swap hinges. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong, but the OEM hinge won’t fit on the aftermarket mirrors. It looks like it should fit, but there’s enough of a difference to prevent engagement. Here’s some photo’s of both hinges below. I think if I shaved some plastic on the OEM hinge I could get it to fit, but I didn’t feel like damaging the mirrors. I guess I’ll be posting my Meso puddles for sale.

Would it be possible to make Meso's puddle lights fit?

Can I call also dibs on the puddle lights?
Distance wise, shipping my way might be cheaper too.

Can the piece on the inside be removed and swapped over? So it would be OEM door assembly, then Aftermarket from the hinge mechanism to the mirror.

What about putting the aftermarket hinge into your OEM mirror and keeping the OEM mirrors? I haven’t looked into it yet either, but I’m on the same boat. I understood Katie as saying that I would be taking what I needed from her aftermarket mirror and putting it into my OEM mirror.

I used the MESO puddle lights with the mirrors she provided. Granted there are just a few small gaps, but I'm fairly particular about my truck and they fit well enough that they look good and since they are on the bottom, you can't even notice. Don't understand why they won't work.

I don’t think it’s possible without hacking it up. I was tempted to try, but didn’t want to damage it.

I offered the puddles to some else already. I’ll let you know if that doesn’t work out.

If you’re talking about that round part, it can’t be removed. That entire piece is molded.
