Do you think by the times the 5th gens show up the 3rd gens will have matured past the point of shit show?

 

We’ll be the third gen forum talking about 4.0 swaps lol

 

Hopefully I can get Classic Plates for my 1st gen and I won't have to smog it.

 

Unfortunately from time to time I click on threads that show up on my homepage out of a kind of morbid curiosity. I refrain from posting because the same sass and sarcasm that is Ok over here will get me in trouble over there

the goal

 

Here it has to be 25 years old and you are limited to 5,000 miles. It also has to be "stock" but no inspection. Just a form filled out stating mileage driven is correct.

 

We had to pinch off a broken brake line on the trail last month so one of the guys could finish it lol. Well technically we plugged it...tried pinching it but that didn't work at least not with the tools we had.

CO used to be that way then our jackass legislature passed a law so 1975 and older is the hard cutoff for collector vehicles etc

 

Yeah, when my Taco was down I had to drive my 4Runner and I was barely missing having to smog it. Was doing over 4,500 miles. Now that the Taco is fixed it barely see's 1k.

 

Are smog exempt unlimited miles reg. cutoff is 67 and under.

 

1st gens would be "rust" in every square. Except "rope hooks" in the center free space.

 

And LBJs...and bad MPGs

 

Tacos get pretty uniform mpg across all generations, all things considered.

But add in 5100's to that list too.
