Despite my best efforts, I can not confirm what he rides. Not on Strava, no shot of it in the media clip.

$175 for the derailleur and $60 for the shifter. You may be able to get cheaper if you look around. I also use a SRAM cassette and a YBN chain. I have a X1 drivetrain on my other bike and it shifts almost identical. In my opinion it’s worth going with something different, because it works just as well.

Took the Taco and rig up to Boulder/Superior area to test out the new rubber. Digging the 2.5 dhf and 2.4 dhr II combo.

    Looking for some help here.

Im building up a 2018 SB6 from the frame up, and I know that at least one person on here has one, I saw the pic but cant seem to find it. I've tried to find everywhere, but came up empty handed. What is the native brake size of the frame? I'm gonna run a 180 on the rear, will I need an adapter? Thanks for the future help!

Just looked through a couple of online retailers and all of their models are all using 180mm rotors. I was able to spy on one of backcountry.com 's photo's of an SB6 and they are using a 12.5 mm spacer to mount the brakes. Take a look through the pictures here to see what I mean Disclaimer: I'm also the guy currently counting down the minutes until my bike shop opens because I got a new dpx2 shock to replace my evol and I did not know I needed a blind bearing puller.

I saw those too. I'll be using the 4 piston XT calipers, so I don't know if that will change anything. Also if you look at the 2019 SB6 it does use an adapter to accommodate a 180 rotor.

The team replica has shimano brakes. Even at 19 don't have the best eyes lol, but I can see on the spec sheet that it uses 180mm rotors, and XTR brakes, so pretty similar. I just cant see if theres an adapter though. Im leaning towards its a 160 native and needs an adapter to run a 180 on the rear

    Thanks again!

Also my neighbor has a Bronson with a dpx2, and that is one helluva shock. I've ridden it a little, and its super nice.

Dumb question. How easy/difficult was the install?

I still haven’t even attempted to pull the dropper on my bike to see what I’m working with. But I’ve determined its too long for my bike frame and body size.

This one was pretty easy. It’s the oneup v2. This is the first internally routed dropper I’ve installed (2nd dropper) and it took about an hour.

The instructions on their website are good even though there aren’t any pictures. If you read them and pay attention it shouldn’t take an hour...I just started doing my own shit and realized I was doing it the hard way haha

Thanks! I’m leaning towards the same one.

From what I’ve read most are relatively easy to install/uninstall. Just haven’t done it myself.

Yeah I’m sure most are straight forward. I liked this one since it is one of the shortest droppers with the most travel. Surprisingly my math worked out when trying to figure out which size haha

Yup. That’s why it’s at the top of my list too. That and the shims allowing you to limit travel if needed seems handy.

Yeah the shims are interesting. I haven’t looked at how to do it but they are needle bearing looking things. They look scary to install

Well, yesterday morning got to roll on new rubber, and no tubes.
Playing with pressure, currently 24front, and 26rear.

These tires have so much more bite.. no buyers remorse here.

    20190803_095835.jpg
Also had the chain jump off the front ring, which pissed me off(amd definitely left a mark, lol).. until I got home and started cleaning the bike, and noticed the the clutch was "off"... so, that was on me....

Currently though, need to sort through how the better carry the bikes.

Thinking a pair of High-Roads, or front loaders, etc, right on my bars.
Pulling the wheel isnt a big deal, but, needing space for them, could be. Especially on a longer trip....

    20190803_100333.jpg

    Just idle thoughts.
No pedals today, just one of the big bikes(maybe both, depending?)....
