I have considered it in and off. Big Mike has one on his truck and it seems to help.

 

For now I'm sticking with my 33's but 35's are in the future eventually. From what I understand, this Hypertech unit can be updated for gear ratios AND tire sizes so I can plug in whatever tires I get in the future which should be nice.

 

Hmm. Just doesn't seem all that popular with folks. Only found one thread on it for 2nd gens.

 

Well I just did the hand calculations, and with 4.56 gears and 33's, my speedo and ODO will be off 13% from stock. I could fix that with 35s, which would bring that percentage down to about 4% but for the time being, the calibrator is cheaper.

 

Just learn 1 time what speed means what speed and go with it. I know going 60-63 or so is actually 70 in my truck now. So it’s not a big deal to just know that if I go a little less than the speed limit everywhere per my Speedo then I’m either at or just slightly above the limit.

 

I mean, I have the percentage of deviation from stock already figured out. I'd just like for my ODO to be accurate as well as the Speedo. With mine, I'd be driving at 61 mph on the speedo to physically travel at 70. That's off by a stupid amount IMO. Makes tracking maintenance a bit more tedious as well.

 

My speedometer being off would drive me insane also.

 

Just need to get the hose down on the nipple a little farther but finally got the diff breather mod done lolol.

I took a q-tip and wiped a little wd40 on the nipple. The hose slid right on! Did you do the front ones too?

Funny story but a little water based KY worked well for me
