What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

sometimes a little work is good for developing kids. Atleast it worked for me. I remember washing and waxing my own crappy first car not because i had to but because i wanted to make something i owned look nice.

 

OEM DRLs are definitely brighter.

 

These felt washers cut down on battery corrosion. And it is great to see someone besides myself that uses Interstate batteries.

Love how the factory boot does still fit over...though I didnt take a pic of it.

 

I was debating on getting these because they look more aggressive than the stock ones. Are they worth it though? :/

 

Had Optima batteries in the past and had a good experience with them. Only had one fail but got a new one under warranty. Was able to get a good price on the interstate and the specs are pretty good, so figured I try something different this time around.

 

Yeah you gotta be able to find your sunglasses/change jar/ibuprofen quick. Helps us with OCD too hahah

 

The cost of the truck itself will turn out to be far less than the cumulative costs of the mods.

You only find out after you buy the truck.

 

Another low cost mod. The letters are real chrome, not plastic. OCD kicked in and took forever to install.

 

Nice. I went with the black metal letters for my Super White Tacoma.

I'm considering doing something similar as what you have with the lower lights; who makes those, and what brackets are you using? Need to figure out if I should go this route, or wait till my A.R.E. shell comes in, and attach the lights to the top rack.

I actually pulled a clip from the chrome bumper fascia and mounted the lights with some SS bolts. Only had to drill the hole out a bit. The lights are the same level as the hitch so there should be no issue of catching them if out 4wheeling. These lights are dual purpose. You will see when you follow the link.

I remember cleaning and waxing my Schwinn in the 70’s. Waxed the chrome fenders and even the rims and spokes! Good feeling to take pride in maintaining your vehicle, no matter your mode of transportation!

Good thing they came with 2 sets. The 1st T, which was the 1st letter I went to put on, slipped out of my hands and fell somewhere. I have no idea where it went, I looked for like 10 mins before I went and grabbed the T from the backup set.

The 3D letters pop way better than just the vinyl inserts. Plus it matches my red interior better as well.

 

Yep. They definitely look better than the vinyl.
That missing “T” is gonna show up one day. Like stuck to your wife’s dress on an important day.

My first gen taco had a one ton axle, full exo cage before it was even paid off.

 

Quick question, what is the biggest tire on stock suspension you can put on a 2017 TRD Sport 4x4? I know on mine but I dont know on that one and my friend is asking me? It has 17” wheels and came with 265/65/17.
