I reckon autumn would be best as the brush would be weak and dry making it easier to cut or pull. There’s small trees growing on the track now that can be pulled out with the tractor or cut out with the chainsaw. The track was wide enough to drive a full sized pickup on as that's the width of the Super C.

Used to have two wooden picnic tables back there but I’m certain they have rotted away by now, it’s been about thirty years now.

Yup, had a nice fire ring back there and everything.

    Edit:

The red line from the back of the shop leads to the circled area that was the camp, the track continued on down to the creek and then to the west side of the property.

I can loan you the flatbed trailer if you want to get it.

The Super C has a Woods triple blade deck mower under it, it’s got grass blades on it right now but I think they still make brush blades for it. My only concern is that the belts are ancient and I don’t know if or where I’d be able to get a replacement from.

No, but I can bring one of my trucks with us and use the winch on the front of either one to help pull it up.

No new blasting tickets are being issued in St. Claire county due to all of the mining subsidence everywhere. Too easy to collapse a documented shaft and since there are so many errant undocumented shafts there is an effective ban on blasting in the county now. There is a shaft vent right at the southwest corner of my property.

I can saw allot of stuff down but I really want to clear the track again so it’s less stuff for kiddos to trip over and get hurt. Mid to late autumn is the best as vines and roots are dried and easier to pull out. Thick stuff you just have to pull out with the tractor one at a time. I imagine that it’s not going to be finished cleaning up for at least a year or more.

One of the scout fathers is good with a chain saw and I trust him and he’s volunteered to help. My intent is to get all the cut brush to the campsite and do a camp bonfire with it for my mates before I invite scouts to come over. But I need to get more of those pavers so a proper ring can be made to use.
