I don’t think the methonal kits with the cut off gauge go into the exhaust.

    Check with the supplier

ahhh. Thanks. For some reason I assumed the sensor (similar looking to AFR sensor) that it went into the exhaust flow. Going "elsewhere" kinda makes more sense.

Now they do make an AFR gauge that taps into the exhaust that will actually shut down the supercharger by cutting the vacuum if the engine was running lean from a plugged methanol nozzle or a failure in methanol delivery, referred as a FAILSAFE

I’m using that tank for my meth injection. But I’m using it farther back because I have cruise control in the stock spot.

I drilled out the bung for the temperature sensor from the AEM reservoir, and I replaced the pump hole with a fitting that accepts the stock quick connect from the AEM unit.

Finally got my Innovate SCG-1 Gauge installed.

    This is the coolest gauge!!!!

First of all it’s actually a boost gauge and an AFR Gauge in one, so one pillar pod is all you need.

This gauge has the option to set as a boost gauge only or an AFR Gauge only.

You also have the option of have both gauges showing at the same time with the larger display as your choice of being the AFR or the boost.

You can toggle either gauge at any time to have either boost or AFR as your leading gauge.

It also shows the vacuum as part of the boost gauge.

It also has a button setting that shows the top boost pressure you have run. This clears each time
    you turn the motor off.

It also has a warning display that says “02 CUT”

This display pops up on the top right corner whenever the AFR is out of its safe zone running lean.

The gauge also let’s you set the AFR warnings limits.

So let’s say you set the warning “02 cut” at 13.5 and the AFR (under boost) goes over the lean number of 13.5 or higher it will give you the warning “02 CUT” display so you know something is wrong with your setup, (running lean)

    The gauge works fantastic!

The failsafe will not actually cut the boost because our trucks are an older design, for a newer truck
the gauge when it goes into the “02 CUT” (lean area) it would actually stop the boost from going higher.

It also has a light is the guage that tells you when to shift, but that part was not connected.

So now I will always know what’s going on with my AFR and boost at all times.

About to install a Devuils Own stage 2 meth kit into my 2003 Supercharged (2nd gen TRD M62) Tacoma : Two questions for you guys who might have done this already... best to use the stock washer fluid tank or install separate (if separate-- what fits(size) and where). And then the nozzle instalation--- I have a stock air box and tube. So whats the best location to install the nozzle? I'm thinking the threaded port on the SC (mount it like the URD 7th injector) would be the easiest with the same results as before throttle body. Still cools keeps the supercharger temps down... yes?

Like that Innovate gauge BTW... I put an AEM AFR in a few months ago... wish I would have seen that one before the purchase. Nice!!!

Icon/TC Mid travel, TRD S/C, PNP Greddy EMU, 625cc injectors, 2.2 pulley, Hayden tranny cooler, AEM wideband, TRD boost gauge.
I wouldn't put it at the 7th injector location, it sees vacuum and even with a devils own solenoid water/meth would get sucked out, slowly draining the tank out over time without boosting at all. I observed this when running a dual nozzle setup (one pre-TB, one at the 7th location solenoid activated at hight boost and rpm).

I choose the OEM intake pipe underside about 7 inches upstream of the TB. There are kits that sandwich over the rubber/plastic OE pipes that have threading for the nozzles inside of them.

I need to re-do me setup, I miss water/meth. Want a simple reliable kit, preferably single nozzle with good tunability (progressive with fuel injector pulse width feed to give the water meth pump a more 3d progressive tune).

Oh also not happy having tapped the OEM tank, will be installing an aftermarket tank and have OEM just for the windshield wipers as intended. I guess hitting the trails showed me I want that tank good to go and with more regular/cheaper fluid.

I used the washer tank, is cleaner setup,
It depends on what nozzle you end up using if your running a 2” pulley or stock.

A stock pulley will not need a lot of methonal, nozzle 2,
A 2” pulley will need more nozzle 3 or 4 size

A 2 nozzle depending if your driving it hard a windshield gallon can last 1000-1500 miles.

A 3 or 4 nozzle can last 300-500 miles per gallon depending.

I just use the windshield tank because it’s a clean install and easy.

The nozzle kit is shown here depending on what type nozzle you get.

I have a low profile nozzle and mounts as shown, easy access to clean or change nozzles.

With the nozzle in front your throttle body will ALWAYS be free of carbon or gunk

The OEM one? No idea. Go find a 5-lug in the junkyard or find an equivalent off eBay.

Went ahead and ordered that tank as my first step toward methanol injection.

What are your opinions on throwing meth injection on a good tune and just running a bit rich? I like the idea of being able to drive my truck without needing methanol, and running rich isn't all that bad. Would it be better to just do water injection in this case so I won't affect AFR's?

Sorry for the delay in responding. Thanks for the tips guys. I'll look for and liKELY purchase that SNOW sandwich adaptor. Was going to look at getting silicone insert and splice that in but probably gain nothing doing it that way. I will assume the Devils own nozzle (DO3) I'm putting in will be a good match with the URD 2.1 pulley I have on the SC. Right now I'm running real lean on a hard pull in boost... which I avoid like the plague until getting the meth installed. Question: I see many use the 90 degree adaptor to come in to the air intake tube at 11 oclock or higher. BlackrockD responded to my intial question saying install the injector "underside" 7 inches from TB... pointing up I think is what he's saying. Many pics a see online have it coming straight in at 9 oclock... like "Speedys" 4runner if you've seen pics on that. Any benefits on different angles? Any benefits pointing "up"? Never heard that mentioned before. Regarding the volume used with #3 nozzle.. a gallon every 3--500 miles? is that average. Wow. I might think about getting as large a tank as I can... maybe a bed mounted multiple-gallon tank?

BTW.... along with the meth addition, I alreay have the larger Lexus/supra injectors installed... whats that... 318cc I think? and I'm still running lean.

Once I install the meth components, I'm going to take it to a local shop to have them balance the whole set up using the Splt Second FTC1 using the R4 software (i'm not tuner and want this done right).

Sorry. Yet another question on nozzle placement... would'nt it be best to have the injection spray as close to the throttle body as possible? Isnt that why some mount the throttle body plates in there and inject just before TB?

If your going to run the split second with methanol and 318 injectors the nozzle size will be different for the amount of methanol needed. You could run a weaker amount if you want the water to cool off things tho.
The nozzle location is your choice.
With it 7" back I would think the spray will
spread out better and will clean you're throttle body better.
Running lean can also be from a plugged fuel filter in the tank or under the cab too.
Also if your engine, valves are covered with carbon this will also cause lean issues.
