Does the KC5 come in Black or do you have to paint it?

You have to paint, just be sure to reseal O rings with seal all or some other as many of us have had condensation issues after doing this MOD. Also don't over torque the screws because overtime the lens will crack. I have both issues and doing this mod voids the warranty.

 

So I can't leave it like it comes?

 

I think he confused your question to reference the KC Cyclones, not the MESO housing. Yes, the MESO housing comes a black/grayish color and will hold up just fine like that. You can of course have it painted or do so yourself as well if you wish. Opening and painting the internals of the KC lights does pretty much void the warranty unless arguably it was an obvious material defect not assisted by said opening/modification.

What is everyone painting and priming there Brake light with

 

It already comes with a textured matte black finish. I left mine that way since my truck is black. But I have seen a couple in this thread that were professionally painted to match their trucks. Also a few people have sprayed their own with a few coats of rattle can paint and a few coats of clear. If you search this thread, you can see some pics and some paint options.

 

I had my buddy take it to his paint shop, block it down and spray with pro grade satin black to match the other accents on the truck. Gives a nice finishing touch imo.

 

So from your previous experiences,
How many seconds does one have to secure a set once it goes live

 

Last run was up for a day or couple days. But the trend on Meso’s stuff is the next runs are sold out pretty quick because more word gets out. Really who knows.

 

I love the idea of the TTG2, but wondering if you know if there is some sort of harness where I can integrate the BD4 cam and a front facing camera and then toggle between the two? I was intending on adding a front cam and this 3rd brake housing for the bd4. So a total of 2 additional cameras. Just trying to figure out how I can have them all integrated for a factory style install. Any ideas? @MESO @SC4333

 

I'm trying to buy a couple clear & 1 red KC rock light lens. I've got a cracked clear and want to have an extra for each. Anybody know how I can get just the lenses? Thanks

 

I have not tried 3 cams, however the TTG2 will facilitate both and front and rear cam (has two RCA connections, one for both front and rear cam). I don't know how that would play out with the OEM tailgate cam still connected. I suppose worst case, you leave it unplugged and can use the new front cam with the BD4 cam. On a side note, the video quality from the pcam220 is not up to par with the OEM tailgate cam, although sufficient, and for $50 I am not going to complain.

 

I wanted to still have the tailgate cam in use and just add in the bd4 cam and a front grill cam. Was hoping the TTG2 would work with that setup
