Me too. Lived on a working farm for my first 10 years.
Big garden, fruit orchards, butchered for ourselves.

Then my city bred Mom (grew up in Birmingham, AL) couldn't take it any more. She wasn't born to the life.
The compromise was to move to a gentleman farmer's 6 acre farmette.
My Dad took an agriculture dept inspector job. (He had to go back to college to get the necessary credits.)
He could still have a big garden, fruit trees and a couple beef cattle in the pasture.
Taught me how to butcher a steer, among other things.

Tell you what, farm people didn't go for eating raw stuff (except fruit and some vegetables) or especially under-cooked meat.
And I have an idea they still don't.
Farms are dirty places, no matter what you do.
Farmers are too close to it to not know that full well.

People have gotten far too casual and trusting about what they eat.
Whether purchased at the grocery or in a restaurant.

I don't remember ever eating anything raw growing up, apart from radishes, carrots, and fruit.
Just about everything was well-cooked, and no doubt about it either.
    I'm serious.

Morning. Probably won’t be on much during the day today. Here at 9 I got to haul some trash and stuff off before going to the store. After that got to drive to SC to help my brother with some stuff today and tomorrow. (the cool brother I like and get along with) don’t think I’d be making the driver for the other brother...

1000% my oldest brother is cool. The other one is just a straight up asshole! He will do every single thing that pisses you off and he will laugh about it. Has told me how stupid I am and how I don’t know what the fuck I’m talking about. He doesn’t ask if you will help him with something. He say “you are doing this for for me” sometimes he will add an “or els” if you don’t. So much more crap I don’t really feel like typing and talking about.

Yeah... people wonder why I play favorites.

I could go on all day about the crap he does and says. But in the end he won’t really change and I’ll just end up pissed off.

My pup's name is Rey. Named for my heroine in Star Wars. They are both tiny little things but the force is strong so don't mess with them. Yeah, I know I'm a nerd.
