Choccolocco mountain is full of those Cane/Timber rattlers. I've run into them bowhunting many times, especially when it's still warm in October.

yeah I gotta assume it's this heat/humidity that has them out and about. I've seen several other posts on social media of people seeing timber rattlers lately.

ECGS bearing removal tool?...many moons ago I asked the same question. Anyone in North AL have this tool and would be willing to loan, rent, or sell it to me? I'm prepared to just buy it when I order the bushing, but it's one tool I'm not interested in adding to my toolbox because it's most likely a one-time-use item. Just throwing it out there before I bite the bullet and purchase it new. Thanks in advance!

Yes they are! But you know some Bama folk are strange like that and are like, "eeeewww". We've eaten rattler cooked over a camp fire before, tastes like chicken!

Poor Maggie, thankfully it was a Timbler and not an Eastern that bit her. Eastern DB bites are much more deadly...

true that, we are just thankful she survived. she's been in the family her whole life. the female dog I have, Sophie, used to fight with her...hence why I have Sophie now, but Sophie's brother Fulmer still lives alongside Maggie. Fulmer tried to protect Maggie from the snake my sister said, but wasn't much he could do. Poor fella was heartbroken when she left and basically didn't sleep till she came home the next day. Dogs are amazing.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Yep, seen them a good bit while I am blazing new trails for single track. Those suckers don’t play!
I will find a video of a big one striking my pair of snake boots.
Now, I wasn’t wearing them at the time..:) but I wanted to see if they would stand up to it.

Word! Would love to see ya there. I am debating which rig to bring. Probably be in the FJC this go around.
A great time will be had. Our last trip up to Windrock was at GSMTR was killer. Was a bit sad not to have my truggy with me this go around, but I had a blast regardless.
My buddy and I wheeled his triple locked built to shit FJ80, and went thru everything except Walden’s Ridge. I was like Hell No, let me out! Lol

I'd get some kind of rack like that for mine too, but you have to drill on the Access Cab. No drilling for DCSB.
