    Most of it came of with a good washing but I rubbed the rest out with wax. Yeah, Hopefully Earl will come close enough so that I can surf the local beach here in Hampton

    I use Meguiar's Hi-Tech Yellow 26 and it smells like banana's. Rubbed it in relentlessly with a standard wax applicator pad.

    thanks, i've got some spots on my passenger side fender flares that are similar to what you had. i was going to have a go at them with some 3m rubbing compound but i'll try the wax first.

    what is this a meguiars sponsored thread :rofl:. is rubbing compound that much more abrasive than polish? i usually hand buff w/ compound and have never had a problem but i'm always looking for some good advice.

    they pay me a penny everytime i say there name, but for real yea that rubbing compound can eat right through clear coat.... too abrasive 90% of the time

    put some Meguirs Color X on a mothers powerball and hit it, works really really good and will leave alot more clear
