I don't have any front end weight other than a ~60lb steel skid and the King 600# springs are pretty stiff. I would think 650# would be as high as I'd go with a bumper and winch setup. I was thinking I'd probably keep the 600# ones for that but we'll see. Do the 600s sag with your current setup?

First I'm gonna get them revalved when they get rebuilt later this year for a softer ride

I thought the extra hundred pounds of coil made it a bit dump trucky, but with heavy skids it might work, both trucks I've driven with 700lb springs I didn't enjoy the feel of. One had the load supposedly, the other I didn't think had near enough weight to jump to a 700lb. I really enjoyed mine with the 650s and no sway bar, I don't like to factor the sway bar into it at all though, you should drive how you feel safe. The swaybar doesn't hold load it just supports in corners either way it negatively affects ride quality though either by way of too much spring or forcing the arms to mimic actions.

For sure on the bar with stock coils, but I think with 650lb and even 600lb coils being well over stock the swaybar is no longer necessary if the driver is responsible.

Can confirm, 600# coils here and no sway bar for almost 2 years...have made a few evasive maneuvers in that time frame too (shitty LA drivers). Never felt sketchy. If I add more weight to the front end though that might change.

Your OME stuff didn't respond well though, it kinda let the 590s and the truck push them around. I never had any issue with stability on the road, but I didn't really go construction cone slaloming either. Felt great in 80mph sweeping turns and at whatever too fast speed I was at on the Beartooth pass switchbacks so that's about all I could hope for and still have the best ride I'd felt offroad in one of these tin cans haha

I took my sway bar out when I had 600# coils and it was fine. I now have 650# coils with an ARB, winch and full skids. I definitely like the 650# coils over the 600#.

It just has to be appropriate for the weight you're carrying, if you're trying to compensate for something dynamic like high speed maneuvering with extra spring rate you're just asking for harshness in every other less strenuous activity. So it makes sense that as you added significant weight you'd adjust for it.

Thats cause you have a 20lb tent up high. Not your coils.

My 600s were fine. My 650s are also fine, needed a lot less preload but still nice and plush and not a lot of roll.

Been debating on if I should remove the sway bar or not. I’m running the OME Nitro with 883 coils which is 590# and so far it rides fine but I don’t have any other vehicle like mine to compare it too. Also have the SPC UCA if that matters. Maybe @Uphillshunter will let me test out his truck :)

My front weight is probably over 260# from my calculations. That includes, plate bumper, IFS skid, trans skid, winch w/syn rope, 1 shackle, light bar, 2x pod lights, frame plate reinforcements, spindle gussets.

Yesterday I went from stock TRD suspension to Bilstein 5100 with OME 881 coils and a Wheelers progressive 3-leaf add-a-leaf (I kept the overload leaf in place). Rides real nice city/highway. Can't wait to get up into the Sierra this weekend!

Finally added some jba uca's to help compliment my king coilovers. Also had shop remove internal spacers in Kings and had them rebuilt while they where in there. Pretty happy with the results.

I think I tried refinishing these old ones 2-3 times and it just never stayed nice for long.
