This is perfect. This is what I thought it was but every time I put the bracket to the bed, I was unable to get to the nut on the backside. I’ll double check it the way I was doing it. May just have to drill new holes if mine weren’t done properly.

    Thank you so much!

Yeah, getting to the nuts on the backside sucks. I used a small combination wrench inside the bed extrusion and a socket on the outside and it went okay. Fussy but it works.

I just read from page 1 and as awesome as this build is, I feel like I somehow cheated and jumped in right when it's getting good instead of putting in the time like everyone else. I'm excited to see this come together!

It’s been a roller coaster but you got here before it’s finished so it’s all good.

Hey at least you read the whole thing, page by page, instead of just jumping to where we are in this saga and asking everyone a bunch of dumbass questions.

I don’t even want to post this because it’s so insignificant.

All four OEM Toyota Tacoma body mounts have been bolted to the bed. I know...you’ve lost both your hat and your socks because they’ve been blown off. :D

Well, that’s my update. Deal with it.

Moved the camper temporarily to this hydraulic lift cart.

    912FEF73-1E62-434D-8F1F-058EF0ECF3F6.jpg
Then rolled it down the driveway and with the help of my wife and a friend, we loaded it onto the truck! This was a test fit for me to mark the holes for the mounts. Then we took it back off and rolled it back into the garage. I’m planning to drill the holes tonight then move the camper back to the table for the remained of the work.

I’m really excited! It looks awesome on the truck and it’s just going to get better when it has all its bits in place. As expected, it’s very tall on the truck but that will even out with a planned front rack that goes over the truck cab.

Oh, and I cut down the OEM bed mat to fit in between the camper mounts. Might be nice to have a mat to put on the ground if it’s muddy or wet? I don’t know but figured it was worth trying out.

Reminds of the old freezers trucks that would deliver ice cream and steaks when I was a kid.

Hell yeah it does! The nostalgia it brings to me is forest service trucks. I always thought those were so cool!

Sanded the walls of the camper. Then it got just too damn hot so I quit.
