Hit up Charlie's Creek today, was fun! Anyone ever take the branch that shoots off North here?
    https://maps.app.goo.gl/9VLh2gap67faaHuk9

I went a little ways down it and it turned into a clay pit so I turned around since I was riding solo. Curious what's at the end, maybe a good camping spot?

Please tell you aren’t referring to driving up a branch of the river just because you could?

Definitely not! It's a road. Looks like it dead ends at Charlie's Creek

Is that the one right before a smallish water hole crossing?
If so, I have not been down it, but have heard it can get pretty fun

Maybe! It was the only road I saw branch off that wasn't gated or blocked and it looked like it could get pretty fun! Especially after the rain yesterday.

I believe that is the one then!

Last time I was there camping, there was a big jeep group out there. They said only the more heavily modded jeeps went down that trail. Watched as all the stock guys kept driving and the modded guys made the turn onto the road.

Didn't see any of them driving so I can't really speak to how hard it is.

I followed that road on Google maps and doesn't look to go anywhere....at least it came to a point where I couldn't follow it anymore.

I'm down to find out someday! :) I was limited on time so I didn't want to chance getting stuck and having to winch out ect.

Does anyone know if Patterson Gap and FSR 32C are open?

I believe @The Schwartz will be staying at Charlies Creek for a weekend at the end of August!

I’ll be up that way the weekend of the 23rd. Going to drive around hitting up Charlie’s Creek and maybe a few other spots but staying in Clayton for the weekend!

FSR32C was closed halfway through in June near the ranger outpost, it’s a very narrow trail with no sights to see other than land that has been recently logged. Patterson was open, nice changes in elevation and is a crushed aggregate style road.

I've never heard of Patterson Gap, is it worth the drive up there for it?

After going down it twice, trying to sort out the gate at FSR32C, I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s just a casual bypass road. No thrills or exciting views.

We enjoyed Wildcat Road, which is close proximity to Charlie’s Creek and Peterson. Had a few creek crossings, a waterfall, and other notable areas of interest.

There used to be some fun spots off of Wildcat back in the day when that area was all DNR managed. Once the Feds took over maintenance and budgets went south they just tossed up gates and closed access points. My place is on the lake side of 197 off East Wildcat.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I also need to clear my head. My gf is driving me nuts. However a truck ride ain’t gonna do it for me. I am getting out on my bike this weekend if you wanna join me. Offroad park or wherever really
