I bought my setup from him on your recommendation. Same kit as yours. No issues with it so far.

Yep, so to make it seem like I am contradicting myself, in the case of Argon, nitrogen, helium, and mixes within those, they all utilize a CGA580 because they are all classified as an inert non-flammable gasses.

... I actually use argon for everything on my shop, including filling tires... but I work for a compressed gas company so #freegas :p

Isnt argon more expensive than nitrogen? Other than that they have similar properties basically the same.

Its alot cheaper if you have a huge bottle of it already for your welder...and already have a nitrogen regulator...why buy a bottle? For me it's a waste

Yea that's probably the better way to go if you already have a huge bottle for welding if I welded a lot id honesty do the same.

About twice the cost. But to justify another tank you'll have to fill a few thousand shocks...

What are you all doing to get ride of the play in the steering linkage? I've got play at the steering wheel and it's only getting worst. Looks like there is some play at the joint that goes through the firewall. There is a thread where a guy put zip ties in as spacers but that not only seems to be half assed but it didn't do much for me.

Looks like there are rivets at the joint that have some play?

I know people have welded the rag joint solid. I did this a few years ago and ended up replacing that section shortly after for some reason. I don’t remember why, but I didn’t like it. Been running a zip tie through the joint to take up slack on the new one ever since and no issues.
