Been pretty awesome so far, only have two nights in it though. Got a few tweaks/mods I already want to do to it.
    GFC. Thanks man.

    Very nice, Dan!

If you were running a crawl box, your truck would literally be my dream setup.

We need more info and pics of your GFC. I've ordered one for my 2004 Tacoma, and will be here in October, of next year.

Restored my faded fender flares with some Mothers Back to Black. Normally, I use only a few dime sized drops per fender on my prerunner flares which are in pretty good shape.

I had to almost paint it on and really massage it in to get these to a nice deep black, also let it sit for about 15min on each one before buffing and drying. I’m gonna give them one more wipe down after work today to get any last bit of excess schmoo off and get them nice and matte again. So far they’re looking much better!

Update us in a week after it has started to fade again. It seem the only way to properly fix the flares is to paint them or treat them with a plastic dye.

I got my CBI bumper all finished and off to the powder coat shop.

I made some changes to accept some Baja designs squadrons in place of the turn signal plates.

Pic before welding metal finishing ect.

I’ve had good luck with it on my prerunner in the AZ sun, as long as I hit em like once a month with a little dab mine have done pretty well. If these are indeed too far gone i’lll just paint em

Currently running the poor man’s crawl box - automatic transmission

Would love to have a 2.28 doubler though.
I’m terrible at photos but I’ll post up a few later on. Good luck staying sane during your wait.

I've had the truck since it was new 15 years ago. I can wait another year for the GFC. I have a Leer with a raised bed in the back now, so I'll get bye.

Polished the wheels and washed the rest of the truck today, does anybody think I should powder coat these wheels black? Opinions appreciated.

No. The black wheels fad needs to die.

Whatever @1997tacomav6 did looked to be a great option. Someone else "restored" their flares recently on the later 1st gens with the larger plastic flares like ours. Anyone remember who that was?

I love your current setup. I'd leave them and polish them when they need it!

I normally don't dig chrome but honestly it looks great with that color blue on your reg cab...don't see that color often anymore especially in such good condition. I vote keep it just as it is, great looking little truck

I did this yesterday, not today... Close enough for this thread.
