KEEP OR REMOVE BADGES?

I was just looking at my truck and i powder coated the rims a matte black and i was thinking. Should i take the emblems off? I have the tacoma ones and the prerunner one and v6. and toyota one on the back as well and dont know whether to take them off, keep them, or paint them a different color. My truck is white by the way? Would painting them black be cool to match rims??

Leave 'em. If you're on the fence about it, just leave 'em. Wait until you don't have to ask the question... until you know you want them gone. They're much harder to put back on if you don't like it.

 

i took all mine off last night to paint black

however i am liking the look with no badges.

Think I will leave all them off except just the 'toyota' and 'tacoma' on the tailgate in black.

My truck is white too.

I left all my Tacoma ones on, took everything else off on the tailgate. Looks cleaner to me. I think the black would look good with your rims though on the white. Its all in what you like though.

 

Yeah i`d say its all personal preference...

Everyone`s gonna tell you what they`ve done to their own truck but in the end it all comes down to what you like.

 

I have seen a TRD badge with the red and white stripes and i think im going to put that on the back and take all the ones on the back off. Its like a black chrome.

I was woundering if any one has seen the "Tacoma" emblem in this color, like black chrome. I just powder coated my rims so i think it wud go real well with them.

And also how did you guys take off your emblems? What method?

 

i personally like the look without them. but if you do change your mind just get some 3m tape then its back good as gold!

I just swapped my grill badge for the chrome TRD

Used to put on the back of the emblem and stick it to the body.

I second the remove them and do the SockMonkey treatment. Mine have been on there for almost three years now and are doing just fine.

 

De-badge, if you like it, leave it that way. You can paint them and put them back on at any time.

But can you paint black chrome on the emblems? or just black?

 

Double-sided tape is used to stick the badges back on the vehicle.

What kind of tires are those? Look like they have good threads.

 

Hankook P265/75/16's. Grip the road like glue. Lot's of technology built into the tread.

 

I'd say to leave the badges. But that's just me.
