^^^ That part has been specifically highlighted in the OP @nudavinci64 . Sometimes you gotta read the post over one more time. That's the price you pay when you skim through posts too quick. ;) :D

I am running an AFE with a snorkel. I had the AFE on by itself before hand and when I piped in the snorkel there was a noticeable difference. Not huge (and maybe I just imagined it knowing the science behind it). But I cross enough water I am not willing to risk it. Plus I have no fender liners and fiberglass fenders so the stock intake area is very exposed.

Decided against that due to time, and my paint guy being out of town.

You don't have to remove the SC. Just disconnect the intake tube from the throttle body and the air filter box. Then remove the filter.

Yeah I got a snorkel cuz no liners and had a huge restriction to keep dirt out. Got rid of that and put snorkel on and got all my boost back

Only slow a bit at the beginning. Everything constant for easy comparison:
    Ac on high
    60-65 mph for 10+ miles

When the ambient was 113 (according to truck) I would hit 206

    Same stretch of road

I know, I'm just messing with you guys since it's a *little* more inconvenient to get to than my AFE Magnum

Are you doing the work yourself or do you have someone like Geoff help? I talked to him about doing my fuel pump + the URD fuel filter relocate kit while we're at it since I'm short on time lately. That and a 2.7 are next for me. Good to see another local guy in the same boat.

Interesting. An Efan will only help at slow speeds. Once you get over 35ish mph the incoming air is more than any fan so an efan wont help.

I actually got to the same 208° going into Cali on I40 with my Efan on the freeway.
As soon as I slowed down temps fell rapidly.

After I got home I cut relief (bypass) holes in my shroud with rubber flaps to prevent my Efan from actually blocking airflow at speed but the flaps close at slow speeds so the fan keeps its efficiency.

Maybe seal up the holes on the sides of the radiator to force more air through?
How obstructed is your radiator? Meaning how much stuff is in front of it?
The hot air also needs a place to escape so if you have skids, larger wheel well covers, etc then airflow will decrease through the radiator because it doesnt have a good place to exit the engine compartment.

Just my bumper and a skid. At around 95 ambient I never go above 190 for comparison sake

Yikes. Those temps are no good. How do factory equipped cars with electric fans deal with that??

Curious to see your hood louvers and where you have your header wrap?

Bypass flaps and/or side by side radiator and condenser so a separate fan for each.
