Yes sir. I see too many grown men who struggle to keep up with their kids or even just daily work duties(outside at a power plant). Then I meet 50-60yr olds who still run and ride marathons.

I’m deciding to be one of those that stays active for as long as I can.

Those band rotation exercises are now part of my life. I had surgery in 2016 but still do them several times per week. When I don’t do them I feel it. I will start to get AC joint pain when I bench or the cuff will just get tight and painful.

The shoulder is the most poorly designed joint in the human body. It is stabilized by tiny muscles that are rarely worked. Recipe for disaster.

Thats because you are doing it wrong. Climbing is all in your legs. ;)

I took a few days off to work on the house then I got sick for a couple days after that. It was harder than heck to get back to it. I felt so run down and tired.

Whew it’s hot in the garage at this time. Just did some heavy rowing. I felt a lot stronger today rowing after surfing on Saturday. I was keeping a much faster pace and seemingly the same amount of energy exerted as before. I think I’m finally back at 100% or as close to 100% as I’ll be. Time to start my routines again and start getting back in shape and building muscle! Gonna start working out in the mornings though, the heat in the garage right now is just brutal. 15 mins on the rower and there’s not a millimeter on my body not dropping sweat.... although maybe these hot workouts will help me drop some of my beer belly

Random fun fact... your body burns more calories working out in the freezing weather than flames from hell.

Speaking of that, I’m having fantasies of snow. I’ve pretty much had it with summer this year :(

Hahaha well it’s kinda fun cause you would think you sweat more in the heat but in the cold, your body is doing double work cause it’s not only trying to keep you going but it also has to keep you warm so it works double time basically.

I could just use cooler weather. The only good thing about summer is I don’t gotta wear any rubber while surfing. But then I have to be in the water with a bunch of people visiting who don’t know how to surf and get on everyone’s way

Yup. Don’t blame them honestly. Not singling you out in particular, it’s a broad usage with the following “you” statement. But you’re not only in their way, you’re also a safety risk. My friend on Saturday was pumping down the line, this guy tries to go under a wave I’m guessing, gets pushed off, and his board hit my buddy in the back of the leg. He got lucky this time, but the other idiot who doesn’t need know what he’s doing could have easily injured my friend pretty good and/or damaged my friends board. I don’t mind beginners so long as they have respect for the water and others. That guy did not as my friend called him out and was really nice about it and the guy just stares at my friend like he did nothing wrong.

You do sweat less in the cold just because your body isn't working to cool you down by sweating like when you workout in the heat but you still sweat. And when you sweat in the crotch it's always a good idea when you stop running in like 15F to walk to the truck as soon as you can and not let that freeze lol
Well if I ever lost my mind and cared to vacation in CA you wouldn't have to worry about me. I'd just be sitting on the beach with a beer or pina colada.
Probably wouldn't even touch the water. The Ocean scares me.

    Learn to love the pain.
Does your gf do any graston work?

I went from unemployed to starting a full time job and part time job.
this last week I dropped 7lbs. I keep forgetting to eat

Although I'm sure your scale went the other way.

I’ve never contemplated suicide so much in the matter of seconds... but got it up. 405.

Got a video of it but this was from my first attempt and fail. Weight slipped out halfway. This was the “I’m gonna just join CrossFit” moment

Well, for international chest day I decided to try a little benching. (285) Being 6'1 and long ass limbs makes it difficult to touch chest :( I will try next week.

The ocean is a beautiful monster. I love her.

I’m not sure if she does or not. She might at the PT office. I feel like I’ve heard her mention it once or twice but not sure. She may have done it at her old job.
