I am on 2.0_87 beta with 91 in the tank and I am getting an average of 3 mpg less than I did on 1.05FOB 91 and 1.05BFOtest 91.

I'm also heavier than stock, so maybe my truck needs the extra umph to help it along

About 300 Km on 2.0 and I have been supper busy but did just notice the lower REVHANG is gone.
For the casual driver this should give you better mileage but for more aggressive driver utilizing the increased power midrange you may notice a increase in feul consumsion.
2.0 beta is deffinetly another leap forward and pure bonus.

Ok so I did some rev tests and I beleave there is some residual REVHANG from 1900rpm to 2500rpm. I did the test parked.

250 mile trip today on 2.0 beta. Same trip I've been taking every Saturday for the past 6 weeks on 1.05 91 fob. Noticeable loss in mpg, maybe 2ish. But I am an aggressive driver by most accounts. The truck pulled well though. Over some moderate grades through the foothills of the sierras.

People of 2.0, how's the revhang when you're hustling in 1st? If you bounce off the rev-limiter and clutch in to shift to 2nd, do the revs still take FOREVER to drop low enough to engage 2nd smoothly?

    People of 1.05 :D greetings .
Have not reveded that high yet.
I can’t not say it is completely gone but am confident that it is drastically reduced.
Much smoother shifts with less effort for sure.

For me, I would say about 95% gone. Which is more or less perfect under normal shifting conditions. I've taken it up to 6k about a half dozen times but haven't hit the limiter before shifting. Still very smooth, easy shifts at that rpm and I'm satisfied with the improvement

The main OVtune thread is a cesspool. There’s always someone trolling Mat just trying to entice a defensive response from him or his loyal customers and it almost always works.

I just hate to see @OVTune get pulled into that because they are obviously 0.01% of the user base yet stir up the most shit— that’s the internet for you I guess. Just want Mat to recognize that and not take any of it to heart, nearly everyone appreciates all his hard work and understands the time it takes to develop what he does.

Also, I drove the same highway I usually do the other day on 2.0 and got the same or slightly better MPG than 1.05 so disregard my comment the other day.

Night and day better than stock. It’s a completely different truck.

@Shellshock is right, but I think we still want a FO variant all the same. I know I do. I think this 2.0 beta is along the lines of what will become 2.0 base

He is not the only one. My MPG isn't that good, but I'm still averaging over 21 on the 2.0 test file. I was at ~18.5 on 1.05.

I agree power delivery is far superior to stock and this isn't even with all the bells and whistles planned for 2.0.

What's your per-tank average? 26miles isn't much of a trip to average over.
