It is unless you plan for it. If I'm really breaking trail at 9000' I just plan in a full weekend. Day one ends wherever I'm stuck or over it. Then the fire and beers make you forget about how shitty it is and you finish on day two. I've seen a lot of guys photo's of "snow wheeling" on this site. Most of those guys aren't snow wheeling, They're just playing in the snow. It's a lot like groomed trails compared to real back country skiing. Sure, they're both skiing but one takes some real commitment. lol

These are pretty cool though, there's a guy on TW local to me that knows someone with an original Camel Trophy Land Rover

I guess I shouldn’t say snow wheeling, more just going where the lions are, and they move down as the snow level goes up, most the time.

@BartMaster1234 I can’t find a 20-24 gauge coaxial or single silver or gold covered (or clear insulation) wire I’d like to make my niece a butterfly lamp with using a couple eagle eye led’s and a 12v transformer - I’ve looked on Amazon using every key word I could think of. The idea is it’s supposed to not take away from the minimal amount of support the light has hanging from the ceiling. A big wire will look too bulky and I’m using 1/16 braided cable to hang it.

No sir. I deliberately avoided those trucks especially since I live in an emissions county and have to have the EGR/cat/DEF system intact for each annual inspection

Got the Powerstroke choochin real good, got 17mpg on the last tank which is pretty skookum for a truck weighing 8k

I'd be up for some real snow wheeling sometime, just don't get much opportunity for it where I'm at. Big Bear is probably the closest during the winter but nothing like what you see up in the Sierras, be cool to dedicate a long weekend to it next year if I can.

he came back this morning I think, saw some people quoting him. The ignore feature is kinda cool except you still see the quoted messages which defeats the purpose in a way lol. First time I've used it in my 3+ years on this site

I have no idea how that related to @Sperrunner's comment but that was pretty cool nonetheless

It's out there, but you don't need it for much really. Only nice to have for chainsaws and lawn equip that gets stored
