Curious if anyone has added a Rhino rack with the Rhino backbone on the cab. If so what size (model #) how is the fit and finish? I have seen a few pretty good deals but wanted to make sure I picked up the right size. (if you have, let me know the size and post up some pics)

Receive the parts needed for my front-end conversion today. Well, most of the parts. Found out not all the parts I ordered were sent to me, so in the process of working that out.

Pretty sure something is up with my maintenance req light. Just checked the miles I wrote on the oil filter and it was just over 62k and I am now rolling over 71k. I guess its time to get window stickers and manually track it. From what I have read at 4500 the light flashes and 6500 it stays on. Any one else experiencing this?

Could it possibly be from having the battery disconnected for a long period of time reset the computer?

I havent disconnected the battery in a long while. I have gone a couple oil changes and noticed this previously but finally got around to writing the miles on the oil filter this last change. Now that I have done that I have confirmed its happening. I reset the maintenance light every time I change the oil even though its not on maybe this time I will leave it go and see when exactly it turns on if it ever does.

I manually track it. I keeps notes on my phone (which is backed up) about all of my maintenance. Nothing complicated. Just

    "Change Taco oil at 75k"

    "New Ridge Grapplers at 65k"

"Grease and Torque drive line 70k"

    I've never trusted those lights.

Edit: I use an app called "Any List" for this. Its synced between my phone and my the wifey. I track her truck as well with it. Along with the Costco list ect....

Mine was a noticeable improvement, one of the best mods you can do I think. And yeah, it's not hard to do at all.

Did some aluminum screen with ss hardware & some gray RTV along top edge where it meets firewall over cabin air intake under cowl to keep leaves out. Also cut piece of flexible vinyl sheet, bent it up and wedged it in under the cowl and over the cabin air intake at angle so it has a secondary cover to keep water out even if it gets under the cowl and tries to drip on opening.

The Maint light will start to flash @ 4500 and continue to flash after each startup until the 5000 mile mark. Then it will stay on solid.
Reset your light and write down the exact miles and drive it to see for sure if your light is in fact gone bad. My bet is that you have reset it and forgotten when you did. :fingerscrossed:

I just reset Trip A every time I change the oil and let it roll to 5k miles and change when it does.

I didn't know until this conversation that a Taco has a Maint. light

I've never seen this light. I wonder if a Canadian Taco is different, or is mine broken. Weird.

So when I did my last oil change I wrote the miles on the filter itself then reset the maintenance light. Its been almost 10k miles since the number on the filter and still no light. I have not reset it since and I havent had the battery unplugged that would cause a reset involuntarily. Which is why I am so confused to this.

I have been using Trip B and its adding up. I dont recall the number off the top of my head but its north of 6k miles. well past what I would assume the light would turn on at or even flash.
