The research center got the $6k, not the son.

He donated her body to the center and they sold it.

Seems to me that they owe the family $6,000 since the body wasn’t used for the purposes it was donated for.

We donated my Dad's body to the local medical school. They made it ABUNDANTLY clear that the family had no say it how it would be used. Our feeling as a family was that whatever they did was fine and would be used to further knowledge. For all I know they blew him up too. (and he would have loved the thought of that, miss you Dad.) They were so respectful during the whole process that my mom wants to go there when it's her time, as do I.

In our case is was bold letters, with a required signature. Nothing fine about it. Seems to me they weren't paying attention. I don't think being blown up as a dead body is for everybody, but I say sign me up! Beats the hell out of rotting in some grave.

While I am certain he had to sign a similar disclaimer, I'll bet he never thought for a moment that she would be sold like a used car part.

I think the bigger issue here is that they sold her for a profit, not how they used her for research.

He donated with the condition it was not to be used for "explosion tests".

    This is an option?!?

Then again, why wait? Someone will realize they can earn Interweb fame simply by buying a shitload of Tannerite and pogo stick. I can't wait for THAT one on the news!

SHUTUP. Dont give some idjit the idea. Tannerite is fun and I like getting it without a bgc. Someone does that and they may ban it.

They want to do that around here. Some asshat just outside the county line keeps blowing up stuff on a regular basis, and the calls to 911 flood the dispatcher. There are only about 50,000 homes within earshot of Sir Dickless, and he just gets a kick out it. Sheriff's office goes out there, see's it's in the next county, calls THAT Sheriff's office, they all investigate...and nothing happens.

He's not popular with either Sheriff's department since we had that serial bomber because now everyone investigates everything out of fear of copycats.

Since people making and planting random bombs is an actual thing, I understand where they're coming from.
