UPDATE:

So i said i was gonna fill you guys in, good outcome or bad...well on the way out of the gym today, she was on her way out as well, so i gave it a shot...looks like she isn't interested in seeing anyone right now

BUT, she does have my number...it's a longshot that she'll change her mind but oh well...better to try and get shot down than to never try and always wonder what could've been...

yeah, but it feels good to know that you already took the shot, it was killing me to go to the gym and just wonder if she's coming in or not. and if she did come in, how would i bring up the opportunity. now that the deed is done, i can focus on my workout

so how did you start up this conversation? I'm in the gym everyday and dont think I could come up a way to start a conversation with a girl when I'm lifting.

 

yeah, i think so. like i said in the original post, i don't think girls are down for getting hit on at the gym while they're "not pretty" (i actually think it's very attractive that she can get her sweat on for fitness reasons). she had just finished with her workout and was getting ready to leave at her car. i was walking to mine at just said what's up and blah blah small talk...i could tell she was caught off guard or surprised. but eh, no biggie. i saw no other options in talking to her, so took the one i had.

well the first time i talked to her, i was just lifting near her, and one of those exercise balls fell off the rack. i picked it up to put it back, and she said thanks, i was like oh, were you going to use it? she said oh no, i was just gonna put it back...(this was just really random talking haha. after awhile we just got back to our exercises) a few minutes went by and i figure i would just talk to her. so i asked if she went to the high school i went to, because she looked familiar. turns out she did, (insert more small talk here about who she hung out with, when she graduated, etc) and we introduced ourselves, and that was that. very normal convo. i kept seeing her every now and then, and the more i saw her the more intrigued i got. so i finally made a move.

 

ah, doubt I'll be able to use that one.

Ask for her opinion on whether you are working your biceps or any other muscle groups correctly and flex it. Ripped or flabby you are bound to spark up a smile and is a great ice breaker.

I would say, at this point just keep it light. When you see her again, just casually say Hi (with a nice smile, of course). If she sees that you are not off balance from her 'rejection', she will be more likely to try to talk to you, and then...who knows, anything might happen from here.
The main thing is not to focus on her anymore, because that will show and just mess up your game. I say move on, there's plenty of other hot babes out there waiting for a chance. So just think of her as someone fun to chat with when the opportunity arises, and maybe things will turn out better than expected, or not, but whatever right? Sounds like you are on the right track.
