Yea trails seem to change pretty rapidly with each season.

Gotcha, he had help not just the amazing p-rated commie rubber.

I had no plans to do it until I have a winch, so you are right on track with my idea's :bananadance:

Be nice if OFWD would rate some of the VMUTS trails though, so you can stop telling me I ride on 1 and 1+ trails only. :lalala:

Dont worry guys, no matter what @Joe23 says. I know some of these trails are OF4WD 3 and 3+

#93 is for sure a 3+. Its hard to rate them imo, I always air down and use low gearing. So it could be a 4.

I am going to be taking us down #93. :cookiemonster:

Maybe I’ll come down as I can compare. I have run three trails so I have a bit of a reference.

Sure, and you can stop by my place for unlimited firewood if you want it. Then you dont have to haul it all this way

It’s funny. All the camping Karoline and I have done, we rarely have a fire since most of the time it’s a fire ban. It’s always the last thing we consider.

This summer has been pretty good so far with rain. :fingerscrossed:

Seems like once a week we have been getting enough rain to keep the fire ban away.

Ive been looking for people to come run greens trail in bobcaygeon that is a true 4, when do you want to go wes?

Not saying those wouldn't be fun but you have to realize a 4 and 4+ are serious trails.

    4 Difficult trail
These trails traverse very rugged terrain ( water crossings 24”+, large rocks to 15”+, deep mud, steep inclines and side hills to 30 deg ) low-range 4WD and higher than stock ground clearance is required. Aggressive tread and low air pressure are required. Traction Devices (Lockers or limited-slip) in the differentials (front and rear), lift and larger tires (33”+) are recommended. These trails require above average Off-Road driving skills. Multiple attempts to clear obstacles will be required. There will likely be paint damage and possible vehicle body and/or mechanical damage. Hi-lifts and winches recommended.

    4+ Severe trail
These trails cross extremely rugged terrain with very steep inclines, large boulders, and potentially dangerous situations. These trails require modified vehicles, including lift, lockers, and over-sized tires (35”+). A High level of Off-Road driving skill is required. There are possibilities of rollovers. There will likely be paint damage, possible vehicle body and/or mechanical damage. Winches are required.

By all means could be a 2+ but in no way a 4. For fuck sakes most of Ardbeg South is a 1+-2+ they even have that on of4. How it starts easy and gets hard later then eventually easy again.

Many have even said South trail rating of 3+ is way off cause most of it can be passed in 2wd.

I'm only saying this because when you over exaggerate the trail ratings to say you can pass a 4 or 4+ solo with a Tacoma on 33s and only a rear locker you'll be beyond fucked if you end up on an actual 4+. When you're facing a deep mud hole or big boulder with no bypass and no self recovery.

There's a reason we don't all go to the trails that are 4 or 4+. Cause we'd all be stuck and broken. Well maybe not @Therby he would get through it then in Jeep fashion roll or break down
I am not considering a Jeep, I am not considering a Jeep...
