Tyger trifold for the 6’ bed. Took 30 mins to install, easy peasy. Just have a Phillips screwdriver handy for some adjusting.

 

Probably a small town thing. Sure they’re told not to spend too much time on it.

Right there with you. My parents didnt have a lot of money either. Think mine was a Huffy that they probably got from Sears too. They shopped there a lot. Think I got mine in 68 too but i was 8...lol. Great times

I've decided to part ways with it. And the deconstruction has begun. So far the Prinsu, Gears, Sliders, and Suspension have been sold. Still have more to go, but I'm headed back to a 2nd gen after 3 frustrating years. It's been real folks.

 

Anyone know the torque spec for the upper control arm castle nut?

The truck was good until I started to actually build it. Despite gears and an OV Tune, the performance just isn't what I'm after. I live in the mountains and the thing just won't find a home. It doesn't have the power to pass without shooting up to 5k RPM's when it does actually downshift. It hunts for gears CONSTANTLY and when it's drops back down to 2nd for economy after being at 5k RPM's in 4th gear, it just creates a nasty endless cycle. it doesn't have low end torque to save its life, and I feel like all the technology gets in the way of the driving experience. I kept throwing cash at it in the hopes I would finally find what I was after.. unfortunately not. The OV Tune was my last hope, but after that disappointment, I'm done. OV claims 2.0 will be a vast improvement, but that was also the claim for 1.05... im not waiting around to find out.

All of these complaints are well worn territory, I understand.

I'm going back to a 2nd gen taco or possibly a 1st gen tundra to start over.

 

New shoes, 255/80r17 cooper st maxx. I ran a size smaller on my BJ73 and loved them.
