Yeah thats them, from what I understand when SPC does a redesign the older ones get sold by Mevotech for less $. SPC recently went to a forged arm design instead of tubular, so if you want the fully forged arms you'd have to get the latest SPCs

Good to know. I wonder what mine are then since I got them a few months ago. I'll have to check after work today.

I have the tubular arm SPCs, got them a couple years ago...basically the same as what the Mevotechs are now. They've been great for me, no issues with them at all

I have heard that it needs to have a top coat of some other paint, especially parts that are exposed to UV light, and then it will last. I hope that's true because that is what I did. Can't say if it works yet, only did it three weeks ago.

This is correct. POR15 that you paint on with a brush or spray on, needs a top coat for UV protection or just a good overall sealing coat if used on something like the frame.

I have been happy with mine. I did have to replace the bushings on them, I guess I used the wrong grease and it caused them to wear out faster.

One of the selling points for me on the JBA's was the ability to replace the ball joint from a parts house if needed to get me home off the trail.

I thought the SPC were like that too.

Oh wait, they are but they have specific ball joints from SPC for that. Not available at a parts store but at least they are replaceable.

I just want a quiet ball joint and not a squeaky uniball that the manufacturer says "Oh, you just need to clean it and saturate it with TriFlow (every 3 miles)."

The stock wiring shouldn’t have a problem. You need to properly diagnose the issue you’re having.

Not sure if its any more a selling point compared to the SPC's. You just order replacements and carry them on the truck. You're more likely to kill the lowers before the top anyhow.

That’s another point a friend brought up, the use of rubber bushings vs poly and them potentially wearing out faster. Need to hear more first gen experiences, but them being greasable is good.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
I like it. It really makes a difference when moving slow or stopped at idle. My trans temps stayed really managable this past weekend. They still climbed up when doing long steep inclines etc, but you could tell the cooler was slowing the temp increase.

It fits pretty nicely under there for now. Will have to rearrange some stuff when I shock relocate though.

Did 2 pretty deep water crossings this weekend and they didn't have any problem.

How long did it take to get it through the mail? I ordered a whole drive shaft last week, no shipping info for my order yet.... can't get these ppl on the phone. Nothing but a recording when I call.... not gonna lie, seems sketchy. Lol
