CAN bus powertrain into a non CAN bus body will be a treat. Plus that EB62 is a transaxle unit..? If you're hell bent on an engine swap, I'd think a truck LS would be way easier.

If I ever swap the motor in a Tacoma or 4runner, it’ll be for an LS.

 

Say what you want about GM...but their powertrain guys have it figured out. A 4.3 LV3 would probably be my engine of choice for a swap if I lost another 3RZ. All aluminum v6 with 300/300 found in work trucks all over the place with great aftermarket standalone support.

EB62 is for my 91' MR2... which also might get a 2GR, but built for 400-600WHP, only once the current setup goes boom.

LS probably would be easier, but much more $$.

2GR is about tied with a supercharger for $/HP, but I can spend $1200 and get a motor with 80k on it that bolts right in.

Currently most concerned with AC, and thats really it. No clear timeline on this project yet, the 5VZ is still in good health.

Any way to tighten up the steering on my 2012? I can hit a bump on the interstate and the steering wheel bounces like crazy.
