I run 265/75/16 Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws on stock rims and ran it for a year on stock suspension and no rubs .Still have flaps . Put a OME lift on a few months ago and ..... still no rubs and still have flaps . Now they aren't the most aggressive tire but they get me through the shit I need to get through .
Now again this is stock TRD OFFROAD rims though

FWIW, I didn't rub with 265/75/16 duratrac on the stock wheels but did have some rubbing with them on the F5s.

Yep, same KO2 in 265/75R16 on a SCS wheel with the same specs. Trimming plastic would make you *ok* for street use, I wouldn't have left it with no lift if you offroad.

Found this pic, grainy but it shows no lift and 265/75R16 BFGoodrich K02 on the same SCS spec wheels with a little articulation. It's a bit of a tight fit up front (out back is fine) and just imagine turning in this situation...plenty of rubbage.
