Geesh busy here too with work. Got an un realistic financial audit request. Trying to complete by mid of next week. What kind of hours come with harvest?

Rebuild season(which is now) is 60 hr weeks. Harvest will come with 60 hr weeks plus being on call with 10 to 20 hrs of callouts.

What is a 12 hour rebuild?

Being exhausted from manual labor is always so satisfying to me.

Oh I def feel accomplished. Just super exhausted.

Edit. A 12 hr rebuild is 12 hrs at work rebuilding equipment.

By the end of the season the hogs, pilers, and tractors are wore out. We tear down the hogs and pilers completely and change all the rollers, belts, bearings, incline chains, sprokets, chains, and give the hydraulics a thorough check.
And the tractors get serviced, have new clutches installed, and have the scrapers changed.

Yet another triple digit day in the desert. I opened the door to let the dog out and the heat hit me like a fist. Dunno how those old-timers survived without central a/c

Of course. You have to read every post.
In my own personal experience, if you work/live in the heat, you get used to it.
