When I came to from the operation for my inguinal hernia, they gave me an oxycodone prescription.
I said no way, man.
The surgeon replied, it's gonna hurt, and I mean hurt.
Nope.
Okay, he said, take a couple ibuprofen and a few Tylenol. Repeat every few hours or as necessary. Maybe it'll be enough for you.
But don't do that for more than a few days, cuz your liver won't like it.
It hurt alright, but I managed.
