Hey Tacoma owners! i am new here but have had a 2011 TRD and now have a 2016 TRD off road, both long beds. when i special ordered this 2016 it was to have black rims. it did not have them, (among several other items) that i specified but after waiting 6 to 8 months i got "wore down" and accepted the truck without. after 31,000 miles i still want the black wheels so i am starting to look for replacements. i have seen some 17 x 8 wheels i like but would like to know if 17" rims and tires will fit without any problems like clearance and if the sensors will have to be replaced. currently i have those gun metal/silver Toyota wheels with 265/70R16. If i can do this change i will have the current wheels and tires available for sale or trade. the rims are in great shape and have nitrogen valve stems. Thanx

    Welcome!

You can look for deals in the for sale section or you can wait for Toyota's annual sales and get cheap factory rims at a really good price like what you want.

I went black aftermarket, but you only said 17 on the rims, so fitment also is contingent on tires, naturally.

As others have said, Tim size has little to do with clearance, that would mostly be by the tire size you decide on. I have stock 17” rims and 33” tires with no clearance issues, but I am also running a 3” lift and 1 1/4” wheel spacers.

Good choice, appears much larger than stock, yet has zero firming issues.
