Get some epoxy like JB Weld and be done with it. The stuff is strong, I've used it to repair dime sized holes in the bottom of my boat before and it worked great.

When I bought it, Leer camper shell, N-Fab nerf bars, Westin bull bar. So far I've put K&N air filter and Jet Performance throttle body spacer, lights behind grill, snorkel, custom grill, and weather tech floor mats. Axe and shovel w/bed mounts, high lift jack w/bed mount, and Brute force fab rear bumper.
I've seen where you can take a bar of soap run it over the spot a couple of times and it closes up the leak. Redneck fix or old timer fix call it what you but the tank stopped leaking.

So, heres an update! After trying JB WELD and a couple others to no success of more than about 2 weeks... I gave it one last attempt.

Seal-All by Eclectic Products Inc. has held strong for 3 months. This stuff looks like a sketchy knock off piece of garbage but it appears to be as solid as it was 3 months ago. Even if it ever fails. I would much rather spend a couple minutes reapplying every oil change etc. than going through the hassle and cost of dropping and replacing the tank.

That's good stuff. I used it on a commercial lawnmower tank (5 gallons) and it's held up just fine now for a few years with all of the vibration from the engine.
