Lol my 2017 had Bluetooth but the mic wasn’t up there like that...

 

It’s actually some new tech that Toyota is experimenting with. It’s a Bluetooth for your mind. That’s why it’s over your head. It will pick up your thoughts and send them directly to the corporate HQ. If you think negative thoughts about the truck it will bump up your loan rate.

You joke around about that but they are allowed to record and send all kinds of data back to HQ without you knowing now. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if they add voice recording to the EDR in the future.

You know the button with squiggly lines in the center stack, aka the bacon preparation button? Well, that handy thing allows for voice prompts, in the event you are really craving some of that delicious pig meat but have short, little T-Rex arms and cannot easily reach the button for activation.

It's also a mic for bluetooth, but that's the minor function.

 

It's a driver side sprinkler system for those hot days when a person needs their tender vegetation watered.
