I took delivery of a 2019 Tacoma SR5 access cab Monday night, the next day I drove 300+ miles and was in shock with the road noise coming from the back of the cab. Took it to the dealer, drove another similar truck with no excessive noise. Instead of waiting for the service folks to gather a master tech and get the manufacturer involved I asked the dealer to simply find me another truck. Berlin City was great, but I am very disappointed in my first Toyota experience. Anyone else have this issue?

Was the quiet truck you drove the same trim level? And you drove it under the same road conditions/speeds?

If it doesn't work out for you, I hear Ridgelines are quiet.

Welcome to TW. The cab has noise, but I wouldn’t consider it to be excessive by any means. It’s a $30,000 truck, not a $100,000 S-Class. You can pull the backseat out and apply a sound deadener to the back wall which I’ll be doing myself once my molle panel comes in.

welcome to TW. I haven't noticed any axcesive noise in my cab but a lot of folks just have different tolerance for road noise and have done some extra work on their own sealing the cab with dynamat or similar products. sounds like Berlin City is taking care of you... that's not so normal to have a cooperative dealer so you should be pretty stoked.

Yep. Pulled the rear seats (sold) and sound-proofed the rear wall and doors. 100x better!

I saw 5 new Ridgelines in the past month. Each driver looked like a dick. Coincidence? I think not! Nothing specifically about the people made them look like dicks. By the process of deduction, I arrived at the conclusion that the piece of shit, poor excuse for a truck surrounding each driver made him look like a dick.
    END OF STORY

The 2nd gen looks better than the 1st gen, with that slopping bedside.
