Just got back from a 15 mile drive on the 2.0 93 stock gearing beta file. First thing I noticed is the tip-in is no longer an on/off switch. Very smooth and what most people would expect from the factory. I am one who has never used normal drive mode. Even OVTune wasn’t enough. I always used ECT because I liked the shifting patterns much better. This is the first time I’ve ever drove in normal drive mode and didn’t reach for the ECT button! So far I have zero complaints and think Matt has pretty much perfected the standard tune.

Are you running build 10867 or 0944? I downloaded both but installed 10867 93.

Anyone know why there are two versions available for download?

0944 is for 4.88 gears as it is labeled.

I downloaded 93 gear lock and 93 gear lock+488. I'm not assuming it would be perfect but would it be closer than not since I have 5.29's to use the 4.88 tune. Or just stick with the 3.90 gear tune?

I'm feeling the same way.... I dont get off work for a few hours, so I'll be waiting for more input until I'm off. I just happened to bring my laptop, so at least the drive home will be fun.

@OVTune Can we use 91 octane with the 93 Erom 2.0 tune ? Do the 4:88 gear tunes change anything on the speedometer readout and would it hurt anything to try the 4:88 tune an a stock geared truck , ?

That’s what I want to know- will the 2.0- 4.88 tune hurt or help a stock geared truck with a lot of weight?

Were about to be cut off for asking crazy questions. IE "Would it hurt to try the 4.88 tune on a stock geared truck?"

    Those of you running 2.0
Are any of you running gear lock?
I think 1.05 91B is pretty dope, but I’d like to have the ol GL setting.
And if you are running GL how’s it been driving

Coming from 1.05 87 base, this 2.0 87 beta is fantastic. This is what I bought in for.

I wasn't particularly blown away by 1.05 (87 base) versus stock+ect. It seemed a little more refined, but still felt sluggish and lazy. I had not yet gotten to trying 93 base or any of the performance versions, so maybe I'm not comparing 2.0 beta apples-to-apples.

Whatever the case, I am thrilled so far. Thanks so much to @OVTune for making this happen!

It would be safe to run the 87 2.0 beta on 91 octane right?

Earlier in a post he said 5.29 tune would be by request

Just run the 4.88 tune for now it isn’t bad at all
