I bought my used 2009 two weeks ago. I have yet to load it down. I decided to email my only local dealer via their website and got no response. Was not looking good. I was afraid they had heard it before and were ignoring it.

I then emailed my salesman and he replied and said he would talk with someone. Here is what I wrote...

When I got home today someone from the service department had left a message saying the parts were ordered and they would call me when they arrive.

How about that for a dealer? Street Toyota in Amarillo.

I will let you know how it does and the results to the truck. I am a little nervous that I am not going to like it but I am trusting the overwhelming positive feedback I have read here.

Downeast Toyota in Brewer Maine did mine a couple of weeks ago. I only had to say that the truck didn't handle a load of mulch very well. They gave me 4 new TRD shocks and the 4 leaf springs. I didn't expect the new shocks, a nice extra.

The paperwork I signed showed that they billed Toyota for $2,200 for the TSB.

Dropped the truck off this morning. I measured and took pics last night and realized the truck has a lean to the drivers side. Anywhere from 3/8" to 1/2". I told the service tech about it.

He also informed me of the gas pedal recall and I declined without issue. I also mentioned to him the transmission reflash and he was going to check into it. So far, a great experience with this dealership. The estimated half a day.

Glad to hear you had such an easy experiment. Mine was pretty much just as easy. I had taken the truck in for a power train recall and had mentioned the transmission TSB. They reflashed that for me while looking into the recall inspection.

The inspection revealed that they needed to order some parts so I mentioned the Rear Leaf TSB and the service guy ordered the Leaf Pack for me at the same time. No questions asked, I had only had the truck a month and never had anything in the bed yet.

I've had nothing but great service at my dealer thus far. Karl Malone Toyota in Abq, NM.

Got it back. Really do not notice too much difference in the ride. Maybe a bit more solid feeling. The rear seems a bit higher but I have not had a chance to measure yet.

I got mine back today and it's about an inch higher. They didn't replace any shocks on my 2010.
