You guys need to stop saying stuff like this. The tune octane is for that octane and higher. NOT lower...been said several times

It won’t help because all the tune is doing is helping shift points. Gears are the only way to get help with what you need and have a tune optimized for it

Unless your truck absolutely never leaves high altitude where 93 octane is unavailable

Gotta agree with squatch here, although 2.0 may be different, I’m not sure. I thought we were getting away from octane based tunes with 2.0 so I was surprised to see that at all. Be careful folks unless you hear it directly from the horses mouth.

2.0 beta is a big leap forward from 1.05.1 where I was. Still need to put a few hundred miles on it to give a better report, but no complaints so far.

Still wouldn’t do it...and why not just use the lower octane tunes. There isn’t any gain in using a higher octane tune at altitude. 91 octane tunes have been the most desirable for gains and felt performance since the get go

Btw the new 2.0 87 octane with 4.88 beta tune rips in my truck. Noticeable throttle improvement and gear holding. Just need to let it settle because it still has the powerband throttle curve

That’s personal opinion, small difference but the first page of dynos prove otherwise. There is a performance boost on 93 vs 91.

so , just ran a quick 10 miles on 2.0 , using 92 on 93 Beta . Great tip in , shifting , gets up and goes for sure . The only thing i'm scratching my head on is ,the rpms drop by 200 and goes back up for a second between 3 and 4 shift . Probably has to do with the 285 tires ? Other than that , very happy with the nice surprise Mat had for all of us fine folks today .

I hear otherwise from guys with tune and 5.29s :/ there is more and more guys running the 5.29 makes no sense why it would be by request only. I sure am not forking our $700 in hopes that it might be worth while.

Yeah, same on my 2019. Mat stated he is considering getting rid of the slip-lock. I support at least trying that. Not a fan.
2.0 beta for 04B31 has been great for over 1500 miles of testing. Still has the slip-lock enabled.
We all need to take a moment to appreciate all that Mathew has done in the face of all adversity and challenges. And TW whiners... The guy deserves the utmost props folks!

Yah but from what I’ve read on here after people have compared both it seems 91 takes the cake for optimal

Optimum maybe, you said there were no power gains, that was false. No offense intended. Do you have regular 93 where you live, or just 91?
