Redeemed: rngr's Trail Taco w/side of T4R

As dumb as it sounds, especially with my beat up POS, I went with polished because I think rockrashed black looks like shit. My old trail readys were gouged and scratched up looked kind of cool in bare aluminium, the same level of damage on a black wheel would have irked me everytime I looked at the truck.


Now back to me trying to figure out how to incorporate more used licence plates into body work on my truck.

 

This. I didn’t think raw aluminum would look great on my dark blue truck and now I wish I had gone that way because of all the rock rash

I like the ring black because it gives the illusion of the tire being much bigger and the wheel being much smaller proportionally than they are. I really dig the big tire on small wheel look. Geoff, the side profile of your old setup was awesome.

Rusted black would look like shit though. Good thing my front bumper, or my sliders, or my rear bumper, or my...

Makes sense. I agree about the side profile, I love my 17s but they do look odd on there now compared to the old 15s.

 

I don't think any of those ever had batteries in them lol! Once the chinese batteries that came pre installed died, that was it!

 

I don't laugh often but when I do, it's at amazing videos like this. Thank you for that.

 

I was trying to find a pic of a white truck with red wheels but it doesn't seem to be common. White cars with red wheels is fairly common and you could get an idea of what they would look like but it's not the same since the red really takes over the car where your wheel color would be more of an accent.

And you can give me those wheels back once you get the beadlocks. I got my old KM2s that need some wheels.

Why not candy apple red inners with white rings? Will match the white truck and as the white scrapes away it will only show metal which is whiteish when surrounded by white.

 

I don’t the the stark white ring/ black tire contrast would jive.

Good find. Yeah I dig it. And those look just like the same wheels so this is pretty much the exact look you would have. I think white is the only color you could pull this off on. Maybe like a battleship grey color but white is where it's at.

 

And then do this to it.
