Man the only time.ive been off road in this truck at HF I smashed my trans x-member. Nathan looked at it when he installed my sliders and he said I'll likely need to replace it when I buy skids

 

Lock first, then deal with it. A locker doesn't help if you're 2wd and already stuck. It 99% of the time makes it worse

 

Yeah both my tacos were TRD or. Of course.in first gens, the.OR.is.the only TRD.

 

I've high-centered on my trans crossmember 3 times, smashed my skids a bazillion times. Just send it lol

 

It drives funny with the locker on it feels weird

For sure. They're great for rocks. But you can't always count on em in sand or mud. Sometimes the locked PreRunnner.gets.you into more.trouble.lol

 

They don't work in the rocks either I got stuck in a riverbed and Josh put me out

 

Sand and mud need momentum. If you're lifting wheels, #ifs4lyfe, a locker is a god-send

 

I tell you one thing though when I was down at South Padre island and I was doing donuts in the sand with the locker on it was freaking easy

the sad thing about this day was I turned a 3-hour trail ride into a 6 hour trail ride

If it makes you feel better, I had to grind/winch my way out of International Highway's last obstacle. I think that's where I candy-caned my driveshaft.
