All idler bearings replaced and my chirp is gone.

 

Thanks for the link! i think i found those bearings i posted in DocME's post on the pg 1. Just wanted to be 110% sure those were the bearings needed.

Good to know, i have a feeling my idlers need replacing. Just threw a new belt on 2500 miles ago so it's hard for me to believe its that. Will do some more troubleshooting now though since ive got the truck back up and running. Thanks for chiming in brother

 

Anyone see issues upgrading the fuel pump now before I get the SC? Trying to see what I can swap prior to doing the install to cut down on the work.

I can post a list and see what I. And do but figure most is SC dependent except radiator and maybe fuel pump.

 

Not going to hurt anything, but will for sure help your work load when you get your supercharger and everything.

I have a one way check valve on my fuel line to maintain pressure so the truck doesn't have a slow start. credit goes to @crashnburn80. he may have a few left. you may want it.

the 255 can leak down pressure causing a slow start. just more cranking than needed. a check valve holds line pressure making starting exactly like stock. I believe he bought a few thinking other guys would want them. I think he has a couple laying around. he always buys the best quality stuff.

 

I picked up the AEM 320 assuming same deal. I’m game for making it all better. That’s the idea right?

 

I haven’t had any issues with the green top AEM, no check valve. Definitely get one of these https://www.summitracing.com/parts/ABT-CFD402 to replace the fuel line in the URD kit.

 

I have had the issue once every year or so on my AEM green top. Maybe twice on a bad year. Twice out of 365 days of the year for me does not justify installing an inline check valve.

Not a bad rate considering I've had the pump in for the last 5 years.

 

I just picked it up off Amazon. Does URD provide some other stuff?

 

Makes sense. I am in there already no harm in adding it but not a deal breaker.

 

I don't think you need it with the aem. it's not in the tank anyway. you could add IF needed later.

 

I bought those as well. use a heat gun or boiling hot water to install it.

 

The AEM is an intank pump
