The TN Valley Railroad Museum was very close to my house as a child. I went there as often as my folks would take me. I still remember it well, the conductor let me ride in the engine car and go on the turntable with him. I was in heaven.

Noticed some RPM based vibrations today coming back on the road from Longwater today.

~1100 RPM I get an audible and feel-able vibration on the passenger side. Sounds as if it in the wheel well, can feel it in the floor board.

    Any ideas?

Not able to find any threads specifically matching the symptoms

Weathertech floor mats, Bilstein 5100s front/rear, TSB leaf springs, Pioneer head unit, Mini D2S headlight retrofit.
I ordered Bilstein 5100s last night and they should be here Friday. WeatherTech floor mats should be here tomorrow.

Still need to call Toyota in Lakewood about getting in for the leaf spring recall/replacement. I doubt they would do the shocks at the same time since they're not from the dealer, but you never know.

Otherwise a shop quoted me $400 to replace all 4 shocks. Hopefully they or Toyota can do a further inspection of the pickup along with the other work.

Will try and check those in the morning.

I pulled off the road and looked around when I start hearing it, didn't see anything standing out. Then again I wasn't too sure what to look for so

Regarding the 3" lift I put on my '04 DC, recently returned by the dealer after a frame replacement, I have noticed the two following items. Should I be concerned about either?
    1. A vibration that becomes most noticeable around 50-60mph. Feel it in the steering column, and I may actually feel it through the accelerator pedal (?). If I hadn't bought brand new tires in April, I could have blamed it on badly worn / cupped tires -- that's what it reminds me of. I'm not terribly concerned (or should I be?) as I put a 3" lift on the truck. I did have LR UCA's installed, and it got a fresh alignment. Put AllPro rear axle relocate plates in the back (at the 3/4 position as I recall). Put a diff drop (Wheeler's ?) in the front. I thought I had addressed most of the issues that cause vibration in a lifted 1st gen. Am guessing this is a driveline-caused vibration?
    2. Brake farts. I don't know what else to call them. More often than not, but not all the time, as I am braking to a stop... just before coming to a complete halt, the anti-lock brakes engage -- then release. The truck seems to lurch briefly to the left accompanied by the steering wheel momentarily "jerking" or "twitching" to the left. (The "lurch" is probably more associated with the wheel momentarily moving to the left.) This has ONLY occurred immediately prior coming to a complete halt. Occasionally the brake pedal feels stiff. I have not read about this behavior after a lift?

Check your carrier bearing, it could be going out or need to be dropped a little :notsure: Vibrations are tough to track, gotta isolate them and then go from there
