Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

If you haven’t done a drain and fill on the transmission, I’d recommend it. My dad (and others) had a similar experience where there’s a feeling of slack or slop in the drivetrain and a drain and fill took care of it.

Not promising it fixes it, but it’s quick and easy to try.

 

2.0 is on point, slightly more aggressive tip than a 1.05.1 base.
Waiting on 91 octane version

I second this. I'm having some of the same issues people are mentioning here and I don't want to bombard Mat with the same stuff.

 

There is Knock Feedback parameter that Mat was using. Watch his YouTube videos

You can update to 04b04. Its easy

I've read about others doing it here, I'll admit I'm lacking the confidence to do it right. I don't have a problem with Mat's tune& flashing it, know it's bullet proof pretty much, or I guess idiot proof. Lol

Current gearlock in 2.0 beta is same as before, tied to ECT.


Once we work through common issues that people may encounter (if any) we will release new version with features that were previously outlined.

 

Sending to ZenDesk won't bombard him. Expecting him to pick up on recurring issues by only reading forum posts about it is the way to ensure it doesn't get fixed.

 

Indeed. I upgraded to 04b04 because that's what Mat's truck runs (at least a while ago) and presumably what he develops against.

 

I am trying to download the tune and it says error downloading. I am 04B04. It is the 2.0.X.EROM correct? And yes I have virus protection turned off. Any suggestions?

 

Can anyone confirm that 2.0 will work in radar cruise mode?

Sorry, mis-stated that, I meant to type S-mode+ECT puts you in gear lock but according to that
update on 2.0, just putting in S-mode puts you into gear lock mode. According to his last post it
is still tied to S-mode+ECT.

it should be gone soon, I believe he said it will only be up for 24 hrs. and that
was yesterday about this time.

 

LOL, it rained here last night and I lit the tires twice this morning. I'm happy to adjust my right foot for this "problem".

 

If I press ECT without S mode, I am basically locked to whatever gear I am in, I thought ECT would work as usual unless you use S mode?
