Best I can offer you is a board to use, and keep a somewhat watchful eye on you to make sure you don’t drown. Or get in my way

 

So I’ve never posted in here, just haven’t had any good ideas for entries/lack of skills to get quite the right picture. These are not an entry but a few past pics that I liked and are in line with this weeks theme. Open for comments.

 

Those are nice. Go get something like that this week and enter it.

Bonzai Surf School in north Huntington beach. Then go to Woody's for breakfast afterwards. Thats what I did. Will do again.

 

That's my surf spot. That's the Brookhurst River Jetties, and where I busted open my head and got my concussion! I live about 1.5 miles away from there. From what I've seen Bonzai is alright. They have a bunch of soft tops and just take you right in front of the river mouth (just don't go after it rains, you will get sick). I surf usually between the 2 river mouths. The more south one on the Newport side is where a bunch of the really good locals go, it's got a bit better form to it, and there's a bit of a bowl section where when it gets 5+ feet it starts to barrel.

I don't think I've ever been to Woody's in my entire life. I used to go to Cappy's Cafe, it's down PCH just a bit more in Newport.

 

Not an entry damn roadrunner wouldn't cooperate for this challenge it jumped the other way

Welcome to the thread Mark! Hope you stick around and enter some challenges. It’s not always about the win but learning something and getting out there to shoot. Winning is a added plus.

 

Thanks for the warm welcome, and Absolutely that’s 100% why I’m here, I gotta learn this camera so I can use it to its full potential. What better way to get motivated than a little friendly competition. I’ll try my best to get one submitted for this week.

 

Have a shot I'd like to take in mind, but don't know if I'm able to do it this week... Wish I had gotten that lens last week, would make me more willing to get my ass out.

Noooooooo. The guy I was going to get that Tamron 150-600 isn't selling it now because Tamron is updating firmware to make the lens work on the Nikon Z6 so he's keeping it. So sad. Guess I'm going to ebay now to buy the newer version
