I have 2.5x14” shocks and I’m running F5s with 3.5” back spacing. I rub the shock body very slightly at full articulation, there’s just always a clean spot on the body, never noticed any damage or heard any rubbing noises

Look on the back of the wheel it'll be stamped on there what the size and offset is. It'll have a stamping with ET then a # that will be your offset. For what you need to not run spacers you'll need a -38 for that ET # it may just say 38 or 12 or something like that. If you take a pic of all the stampings on the back of the wheel I can help you identify what your wheels are if need be.

I guess hind sight is 20/20. I would have bought wheels with the correct backspace. I'm fine with spacers. should I buy a set of 4 or just a pair for the rear?

it is my first choice. is there noticeable stability changes with spacers? when I'm drifting I might find out.

You have a -10 offset now there should of been a stamping that had your wheel size like 17x9 on there some where. Do you remember your specs of that at least?

For reference I have 17x9 wheels with a -12 offset and am running 1.5" bora spacers and clear my shocks at full stuff with my rear set up by ~.5" or so. I would probably look at that size spacer unless you have an 8.5" wheel then you'd be perfectly fine with a 1.25 spacer. I would recc. either Spidertrax or Bora spacers. Bora you can get any size you want from .75"-2" spidertrax is only 1.25"

1.25" and you should be good. Like was said put some loctite on the stock studs when you put the spacers on. Use Blue you want to be able to get them off from time to time. Also retorque after a few hundred miles of driving. One thing I do that I haven't heard of others doing is take and spread a very small amount of antiseize on the back of the spacer and in the hub bore. Since they don't get removed often this helps with corrosion of the 2 dissimilar metals being in contact with each other. When I say small amount I mean very small I get it on my finger and spread it very lightly on them.

anti seize is a great idea. good thinking. I use that stuff on a few things. makes disassembly not a torture test. with same spacers up front are there any clearance issues i need to be aware of? i don't have a cmc but may do that when shocks go in.

The further the front wheels stick out the more you run the risk of rubbing when you turn the wheels especially stuffing the tire. It'll have to be some checking on that one.
