Phew! Almost gave you some bad advice. Using the plastidip as a mastic would have been a problem!
Big thank you to @Ruminator for catching that!!

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
My "don't do it" may have been a bit harsh. I just wanted to relate that, from my experience, using plastidip as a paint mask doesn't work the way one would hope. Maybe there's some application where it would be acceptable. Dunno'.

I've got another piece that needs painting where I'll be trying to use petroleum jelly as a mask ( ), stay tuned...

Installed hard plastic and chrome (painted black) spiral wrap on stupid exposed rear brake sensor wires after I saw a couple of jackrabbits snooping under the truck and I found a nibble on one of the wires:

And installed my last bit of armor- RCI LCA plates:

Here’s a link to the spiral wrap, it’s pretty hard stuff and should help protect the wires better:

Serious question... If you're "somewhere in the Mojave Desert", how come you've got a Midwestern amount of rust goin' on down there?

Thanks for the contribution James. Your sense of humor is as dry as the phoenix (lower case on purpose) air if you thought was serious. Point is all three are weak. Green bay sold their soul when they gave Rodgers that last contract. They can't build a winning team around him and free agents aren't going to take a pay cut to pay in the tundra. I am from NC. We know what Mitch is. At best third maybe fourth best qb in that division. Vikings may be the best team. I hate it for Rodgers. I love the guy. But that contract and that field are championship killers.

Not at all a problem Bud. The very last thing that I want to do is give someone some bogus advice. You probably saved me from finding out the hard way that it didnt work as well because I would have tried it. I've used spray mastics back in the day but they were specifically made for that purpose so I thought that this should work. Glad you caught it. No harm, no foul, good save!:thumbsup:

Yeah, I guess most of it is rust colored dirt (er, soil). My bad.

I just got mine - 2019 TRD Off Road. Only thing I did was add a K&N Intake kit. Really enjoying the truck - Been wanting one for a very long time now.

Clay, not rust. Most of it was from New Mexico. Damn stuff turned hard and even coated and started getting stone hard on my cats!

How did you choose between 5.29 and 4.88. I’m in the middle and haven’t come to lean one way or the other. Tx.
