The ceramic product I used Carpro cquartz 3.0 is actually very easy to apply. You wipe on then wipe off. I think people are afraid of the preparation steps. The problem with waiting to apply it is you will have a lot of paint correction that will need to be done. The best time to do it is the day you bring it home from the dealership. Good luck to you.

I used a turtle wax sealant. Found it for $5 at my local Ross, took me about 15 minutes to apply and then just used a microfiber towel to wipe off the residue. It’s been on for about two months and been through about 35 car washes in that time span and I can still feel it on there. Sealant is some good stuff!

That D156 is the same thing as Meguiars Ultimate Spray Wax. The ultimate spray wax is the consumer version. Only difference is the consumer version has a scent to it.

Touchless or not that's a lot of harsh chemicals being thrown at the vehicle too many times a month.

But the Turtle Wax SnS seems to be really good at chemical resistance. Make sure you're covering all the plastic trim with it too, it's going to fail first in that high PH chemical rinse down.

Agree on the amount of Chemicals. Hand washing often with a mild ph neutral soap designed for cars is one thing. But those automated car washes use harsh chemicals to help cut grime and dirt off the cars/trucks.

    Yes sir.

It’s a basic wash, I just get a small amount of soap sprayed on the hood and that’s all they use to wash it. I don’t pay for the extra wax gizmos or tire shine. I apply wax monthly and do all the other stuff on my own.

I've been told the same thing. That both the X-Press and Ultimate are actually the same product. They both are great applied wet or dry.
X-Press in the long run costs about 1/2 what the Ultimate costs.

So looks like between McKee’s hydro blue and Meg’s X-press, Megs can be applied either wet or dry but your able to use it on everything in and out??

Meg's is just for exterior. And waaaaaay more bang for your buck. A gallon will last a long, long time.

The Meguiars is gonna be a more substantial protectant and probably give you more gloss. It's really nice stuff.

The wash and wax soaps are no good. You cant trust those for any sort of protection of your paint. You absolutely need some wax or better yet a sealant, like other have stated hydro2 or hydro blue, reload, mothers cmx, mega ceramic wax and so on.

Went megs xpress and it’s pretty good stuff! Love the way it smells too. You did mention Duragloss aquawax in another thread. Could be be used as a drying aid also like megs? Are they the basically the same type of product, application wise?

Durgloss is a great drying aid. Super glossy and holds up pretty well, a couple weeks usually. Its cheap and looks great. I dont use it often but when I do, always as a drying aid

Yep the two are the same type of product. The Aquawax can certainly be used as a drying aid. In fact, I think the directions specifically state that it can be used on wet or dry surfaces- thus the name "Aquawax".

In my experience, Aquawax is a pretty substantial paint sealant for a spray on wipe off product. If you use it once a month, you probably don't need anything else.
