Supercharger seventh injector versus upgraded six injectors

Purchasing a supercharger in July

Live in Denver Colorado

I want to assure good air to fuel ratio .

Considering upgrading my injectors and fuel pump (looks like it sucks to do) or adding the seventh injector plus fuel pump.


Planning on buying a Unichip
Programmed for all of these mods

Not sure if I really want to upgrade the fuel side and hoping that the unit ship with stock parts for fuel can compensate

Thoughts?

 

Free fuel pressure regulator mod (give FPR a boost only source) to raise fuel pressure with boost, 93 (or 91) octane fuel, and some BKR6e plugs (1 step cooler) plugs and you'll be good until you start putting on smaller pullies. A cheap meth injection kit running 50/50 or 70/30 would add more fuel in boost if you feel like you need more fuel.

 

Less air means less fuel

 

Hp tuner for the ecu.
Fic for injectors.
Urd for the fuel pump.

 

His is a 5vz. Don't believe HP Tuners works for his.

That's what I was gonna suggest

I have the 7th and the stock tune it comes with does not work very well. And customizing it isn't easy anymore since the software is so outdated. Meth injection is cheaper and very effective

 

If you are technically inclined, look into the Fic 6. I have it running my stock pulley SC with stock injectors and pump on my 96. Works well once you get it sorted.

 

Go with the FIC6 and the supra injectors. It is very capable.
Im running them with a smaller pulley and it runs really well. There is a large variety of vehicles the guys run the FIC software on so there is more good info out there to help with the tuning.

 

Update:

Methanol injection is not working so well for me as the ECU fights against the methanol and pulls back fuel to maintain 14.7 in closed loop. Tired of having to WOT to get out of closed loop so I’m going with the FIC, Supra injectors and high flow fuel pump.

 

Yeah I wondered about part throttle fuel and timing with the meth.

I have the Fic and it works awesome at both!

What does the lower part look like? I thought only the Is300 injector was a plug and play.

Idk what year your truck is, but mine is 96. I switched to the 440cc trd Is300 and they idle smoother than my stock injectors. I think since they are newer and probably better technology like lighter solenoids.

 

Heard lotta good things about the supra injectors .

Many people with engine mods on TW have them

Plus, they were $150 and Genuine Denso

 

Where'd you order them from? Lot of fake injectors floating around online, especially on ebay. In fact I think every ebay fuel injector story I've heard had turned out to be a bad one.

Scary part is how good the fakes look these days too...not trying to worry you, unless you got them from ebay lol

 

The lower 2 O-rings look farther apart than mine posted above. Hopefully the intake manifold injector bore is machined deep enough. If others use these, then no problem.
