    the funny thing is the tundra is also... very 1st gen taco like (surprising, Right?) all the a/c controls are cable operated, the P/S idle up is vacuum... but i have a electronic throttle (not the shitty kind from the older tundras)

    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    Carefully, it's hardwired into my brain hard to describe. Not often we just stop on those either but you get good at transferring the weight to the clutch before transferring motion if that makes sense. It's not an easy task on the clutch always which is why we buy higher clamping load clutches

    Only changes made to 1st gens over the years were made because Toyota had to inorder to stay relevant compared to the competition imo. Airbags, electronic hubs, more sensors etc. Aside from that, like you said, its all the same.
